Homes sales in Andalucia increased 32.4%<\/p><\/div>\n

The total number of property transfers registered in the property registers in the month of March was 200,774, which is 42.3% more than in the same month of 2020.<\/p>\n

In the case of registered property sales, the number of transfers is 99,410, representing an annual increase of 37.5%.<\/p>\n

85.2% of the sales registered in March correspond to urban properties and 14.8% to rustic properties. In the case of urban properties, 55.9% are sales of homes, according to data from the INE<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The number of sales of rustic properties increased 45.1% in the annual rate in March and that of urban properties 36.2%. Within the latter, sales of residential properties registered an annual increase of 32.4%<\/strong>. Of course, in March 2020 the whole country was in the first month of lockdown due to the pandemic so a significant increase was to be expected.<\/p>\n

Of the homes sold in March, 21.4% were new properties and 78.6% were second-hand. The number of sales of new homes increased by 52.6% compared to March 2020 and that of used homes by 27.8%.<\/p>\n

Results by autonomous communities<\/h3>\n

In March, the total number of transferred properties registered in the property registers per 100,000 inhabitants reached its highest values in La Rioja (1,053) Castilla y Le\u00f3n (849) and Castilla-La Mancha (762).<\/p>\n

La Rioja (97.2%), Cantabria (74.3%) and Madrid (66.5%) registered the highest annual variation rates.<\/p>\n

The only Autonomous Community with a negative variation rate was the Canary Islands (\u20132.7%). Andaluc\u00eda<\/a> (34.3%) and Valencia (35.5%) registered the lowest increases.<\/p>\n

Regarding home sales, the communities with the highest number of transfers per 100,000 inhabitants are Valencia (153), La Rioja (152) and Cantabria (145). Andalucia saw 9,043 home sales in March<\/strong>, an annual increase of 30.7%.<\/p>\n

The Autonomous Communities with the highest annual increases in the number of home sales in March were Madrid (59.2%), Cantabria (56.9%) and La Rioja (55.6%).<\/p>\n

The only Autonomous Community with a negative variation in the property sales rate was the Balearic Islands (\u20133.0%). The Canary Islands (2.7%) and the Region of Murcia (14.0%) registered the lowest increases.<\/p>\n
