Andalucia saw a 6.5% increase in home sales<\/p><\/div>\n

Property sales in Spain showed an annual increase of 5.4% in September<\/strong>, rising to 79,157 sales. Sales of housing reached 37,839 transactions. This shows a -1.1% reduction when compared to September 2019. However, on the monthly variation, home sales increased 20.5%<\/strong> when compared to August 2020, according to figures from the INE<\/a>.<\/p>\n

83.7% of the sales registered in September correspond to urban properties and 16.3% to rustic properties. In the case of urban properties, 57.1% are sales of housing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The number of sales of rustic properties increased by 30.0% on the annual rate in September and that of urban properties by 1.6%.<\/p>\n

22.2% of the homes sold in September were new properties while 77.8% were second-hand.<\/p>\n

The number of sales of new homes increased<\/strong> 29.2% compared to September 2019, while the number of used homes decreased 7.4%.<\/p>\n

Results by Autonomous Communities<\/h3>\n

In September, the total number of property transfers registered in the property registers per 100,000 inhabitants reached its highest values in La Rioja (727) Castilla y Le\u00f3n (642) and Castilla-La Mancha (603).<\/p>\n

The Principality of Asturias (34.7%), La Rioja (27.1%) and Regi\u00f3n de Murcia (22.0%) registered the highest annual variation rates.<\/p>\n

The Basque Country (\u201312.4%), the Canary Islands (\u20138.2%) and the Balearic Islands (\u20136.2%) presented the lowest annual rates.<\/p>\n

In terms of registered home sales, the communities with the highest number of transfers per 100,000 inhabitants are Murcia (136), Valencia (134) and La Rioja (123).<\/p>\n

Andalucia saw 7,760<\/strong> home sales<\/a> in September, recording an annual increase of 6.5%, and 117 sales per 100,000 inhabitants.<\/p>\n

The Communities with the highest annual increases in the number of home sales in September were Extremadura (53.3%), Principality of Asturias (46.9%) and La Rioja (38.6%).<\/p>\n

The Basque Country (\u201323.8%), the Balearic Islands (\u201315.1%) and Comunidad Foral de Navarra (\u201315.0%) recorded the greatest decreases.<\/p>\n
